Candidates Night 2017

Candidates Night 2017 is quickly approaching. It's your best chance to hear from the candidates for Wilmington Selectmen and School Committee on the major issues ahead of the April 22nd town election.

Candidates Night will be held on Tuesday, April 4th from WCTV's studio. The evening is sponsored by the Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce, WCTV, Reading Cooperative Bank and the Town Crier. The debate times are:

  • 7PM: Board of Selectmen
  • 8PM: School Committee

Both debates will air LIVE on WCTV's Government Channel (Comcast 22 / Verizon 38) and stream online here.

Town Moderator Rob Peterson Jr. will moderate the debates. Panelists will include representative from the Lowell Sun and Town Crier. Questions will also come from web partners and the community.

Ahead of the debate, you can meet the people on the ballot by checking out WCTV's Candidate Conversations. These 5-10 minute interviews are a great introduction to the community. Voters can hear why candidates are running and what backgrounds they bring to the table.

Election Day this year is April 22nd.  Polls are open from 8AM to 8PM.  Coverage of election results will air on WCTV's Government Channel beginning at 8PM.
