This past Saturday marked the end of this year’s WCTV Youth programs. The station runs a number of after-school and weekend programs, catering to kids from the intermediate and middle schools.
You can see videos that are produced by those kids each day on our Education Channel (Verizon 39 / Comcast 99). We also have a WCTV Youth YouTube page, which serves as the online home for all our youth content.
Thanks to WCTV staff members Kaileigh Bernardo and Stephen Valenti for running these programs during the school year. And thanks especially to all the kids who come in here on a weekly basis. The creativity and ambition are great to see!
WCTV also runs four weeks of summer workshops in July and August. We still have LIMITED availability during the week of July 31st for children ages 12-14 (our other weeks are full). Give the station a call or check out the youth section of our website for more details.
And look for lots more youth content in the coming weeks!
By the way...
Wilmington High School has its own YouTube page for videos that are developed by students of their media production class. LOTS of good stuff over there as well, so check it out. We also air their videos on our Education Channel.
