ACM Conference
Last week, Executive Director Shaun Neville talked in his blog about the annual Alliance for Community Media Conference in Boston, where they discussed the changing roles of community TV stations. If you’d like to catch the keynote address at that conference, head to the link here. It’ll also be playing on our Public Channel (Comcast 9 / Verizon 37).

I’ve Got a Theory
Many great projects came out of the Summer Youth program, and one of the most interesting one was the conception of “I’ve Got A Theory”. This 15 minute pilot sees junior scientist Zachary Weinstien explaining several theories of science. Filled with great visualize storytelling, Zack has put together an impressive debut show.

Week 4 Summer Youth Program
Zach was among 10 kids who participated in the fourth and final week of the Summer Youth Program. We showed you some great behind the scenes videos last week, and now here are the finished products. The first video is a highlight reel of some segments the kids put together throughout the week. The second video was the weekly game show we end our program with. The kids decided to go back all the way in time to 1990’s Nickelodeon and created a guessing game called “Guess What?”

ALS Angel Fund “Walk Of Hope”
A few weeks ago, the Lydon family came into our studio and filmed a PSA for the Angel Fund. On September 10th, team Lydon will be taking part in the “Walk of Hope”. The event will take place at Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield. This 3.2 mile long walk raises money for ALS research. You can see their PSA below and for more information go here.
